Wapping High Street is full of cobbled streets, humps, (watch the car, bicycle or your heels) and converted warehouses and there is history everywhere you look. The area closer to St Katherine’s around Kennet Street has newer houses and flats, most of which were built in the 1980s development period.
Wapping has great pubs, restaurants & cafes.
Being next to the river, Wapping is a great place to go for (short or long) walks, especially in the summer and there are various parks/green spots to relax when the weather is nice, as well as sitting on your balcony (if you’re lucky enough to have one) or the pub gardens.
On the North Bank of the River Thames, Wapping has undergone rapid development, during the last decade. Situated in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Wapping is extremely popular with city professionals, particularly with those now working in Canary Wharf.
